The world financial system is a total fraud. It is one gargantuan Ponzi scheme, no better than the one Bernie Madoff used to swindle his friends and neighbors, and thousands of times worse if you add up the total number of victims it has ripped off over countless generations.
The principal difference between the two schemes is that Madoff was acting outside the law while the international banking cartel has persuaded generation after generation of monarchs, presidents and prime ministers to provide legislative protection for their larceny.
The banks Ponzi scheme is alarmingly simple. They lend the same money to several people or institutions at the same time and collect interest on it from each. What the banks really lend, however, is their credit, and what they take back in compensation for that privilege is a debt that must be repaid with interest.
The number of times they lend the same money is called leverage. The practice is as old as the hills but for our purposes we can start with the goldsmiths of Lombard Street in London, England, who accepted deposits for which they issued certificates redeemable on demand. They paid their depositors a nominal interest rate on the understanding that they could lend the money to their customers at higher interest rates. They soon found that they could lend more than they had in their vaults because only a few depositors came in to redeem their gold or silver at any one time. It was a scam. It was illegal. Nevertheless they got away with it for a long while and the scam was legitimized when the Bank of England was chartered to help King William finance his war. Rich people subscribed £1,200,000 in gold and silver, as capital, to found the bank, which then was lent to the government at 8 percent. To show his appreciation the King allowed the bank to print £1,200,000 in banknotes and lend them at high interest rates. In effect, the bank was allowed to lend the same money twice – once to the government and once to the people.
Over the years, due to the avarice of the banks and the complicity of the politicians, that ratio has increased dramatically. In the early days of the 20th century, federal chartered U.S. banks were required to keep gold reserves of 25 percent. That means they were allowed to lend the same money four times. I remember when Canadian banks were required to maintain a cash reserve of 8 percent. That means they were allowed to lend the same money 12½ times.
Today, thanks to Milton Friedman’s irrational flip-flop from being a proponent of 100% cash reserves to the opposite extreme of zero reserves, and the adoption of his ideas by the major central banks of the world in 1974, multiples have increased dramatically – in some cases to as much as 20 to 1 or more. Banks only keep enough cash to meet day-to-day demands for those few customers who go in and request it, and consequently the fraud is virtually total.
The system works this way. Suppose that you want to borrow $35,000 to buy a new car. You visit your friendly banker and ask for a loan. He or she will ask you for collateral – some stocks, bonds, a second mortgage on your house or cottage or, if you are unable to supply any of these, the co-signature of a well-to-do friend or relative. When the collateral requirement is satisfied you will be asked to sign a note for the principal amount with an agreed rate of interest.
When the paperwork is complete, and the note signed, your banker will make an entry on the bank’s computer and, presto, a $35,000 credit will appear in your account which you can use to buy your car. The important point is that seconds earlier that money did not exist. It was created out of thin air – so to speak.
The banking equation is a species of double-entry bookkeeping where your note becomes an asset on the bank’s books, and the new money that was deposited to your account is a liability. The profit for the bank comes from the difference between the low rate of interest, if any, you would be paid on your deposit if you didn’t spend the borrowed money immediately, and the much higher rate you would be obliged to pay on your note – the technical term is “the spread.”
At some point, however, you have to pay off your note and any interest owing. And not only you but everyone else who has borrowed “money” from banks – including governments which, by the way, own the right to print money but that have irresponsibly handed the right over to an elite group of private bankers. Anyone who defaults is in big trouble. Individuals who default will have the assets they pledged as collateral seized by the bank. A government that is in danger of defaulting, will be forced to borrow from the International Monetary Fund, which will then tell that government how to run its affairs including cutting back on services and selling off public assets to the international vulture capitalists.
In reality, then, the banks have turned the world into one humongous pawn shop. You hock your stocks, bonds, house, business, rich mother-in-law or country and the bank(s) will give you a loan based on the value of the collateral.
A world system where all the money is created as debt is a perpetual disaster in the making. It is like a giant balloon that the banks pump full of debt. The balloon gets larger and larger until the debt load becomes too heavy to carry, and then it is like a balloon with a pin stuck in it. The system crashes and thousands or sometimes millions of innocent people lose their jobs, homes, farms and businesses.
Almost any high school student should be able to see that any monetary system based on debt creation is totally insane. The total world debt, mathematically, is always tending toward infinity – and there is no possible way of paying it off. The real money (legal tender) to do so doesn’t exist. And the real economy that depends on cash to grow shifts into low gear whenever the supply of credit money dries up.
Not surprisingly, there have been 25 recessions and depressions in the United States since 1890. In several cases, including the Great Depression of the 1930s and the current Great Recession, the evidence indicates that the meltdown was anticipated by a few insiders who helped trigger the catastrophe.
In the wake of the Great Depression, the U.S. Senate Banking and Currency Committee Report that became widely known as the Pecora Report on the Practices of Stock Exchanges, indicated that there were insiders who benefitted from the crash. “Legal chicanery and pitch darkness were the banker’s stoutest allies,” Pecora wrote in his memoir. Similar allegations were evident in Charles Ferguson damning documentary “Inside Job,” relating to the 2007-2008 meltdown. These reports, and other historical evidence prove beyond any doubt that much of Wall Street is rotten to the core. It has become one gigantic millstone around the neck of both the American and world economies.
The collateral damage from the recent meltdown has been staggering. The U.S. Bureau of Labor estimated that 8.4 million jobs were lost in the U.S. alone. Most countries experienced similar dramatic losses. The reduction in asset values worldwide has been estimated at $20 trillion U.S. dollars, yet not a single one of the culprits is in jail. You would think that someone would have had the decency to launch a class action for at least $10 trillion against every individual and every organization that contributed to the catastrophe in any way.
It boggles the mind that a system so vulnerable to manipulation would ever have come into existence in the first place. The evolution did not happen by accident. It was not guided by the mythical invisible hand of Adam Smith. On the contrary, for more than a century-and-a-half, it was engineered by the barely visible hand of the Rothschild family and its allies, and since World War II by the Rockefeller family. The two dynasties combined forces to exercise influence on many fronts sheltered by the cloak of secrecy established by the Bilderberg Group.
The long term influence of the banking cartel is incalculable. Their biggest coup was the establishment of the Federal Reserve System in the United States. The big New York banks really didn’t like the idea of genuine competition, so a small group held a secret meeting at the private resort of J.P. Morgan on Jekyll Island, off the coast of Georgia. Their scheme, devised by Paul M. Warburg, and subsequently adopted by Congress, is a legal private monopoly of the U.S. money supply operated for the benefit of the few under the guise of protecting and promoting the public interest.
It is a tribute to the skill of the international bankers that they were able to draft a bill, revise it, change its name and make the few window dressing compromises necessary to get it adopted by Congress just before Christmas when quite a few Representatives must have been dreaming of sugar plum fairies instead of exercising due diligence. Only Charles Lindberg Sr. seemed to grasp the essence of what was going on.
To put it bluntly, the Congress transferred its sovereign constitutional right to create money to the sole custody of a group of private bankers. The magnitude of the hoist is unprecedented in the history of the world – the numbers now are in the high trillions.
Soon after the bill was passed the magnitude of the tragedy began to be recognized. William Jennings Bryan, who acted as Democrat whip, later said: “In my long political career, the one thing I genuinely regret is my part in getting the banking and currency legislation (Federal Reserve Act of 1913) enacted into law.” President Woodrow Wilson, just three years after passage of the Act, wrote: “A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated (in the Federal Reserve System). The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men…. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated governments in the civilized world.” But the bill was not repealed; almost 100 years later the sell-out is still the law. This makes you wonder what the people’s representatives have been doing to earn their salaries.
The people in charge of the original deception were very far-seeing. They realized that when future governments had to borrow from them they would need a constant income stream to pay the interest on the bonds. So they persuaded the government to introduce income taxes, first as a temporary measure, but later permanently, so it would be able to meet its obligations to the bondholders. In fiscal year 2005 total individual income taxes in the U.S. totalled $927 billion. Of that amount $352 billion, or 38%, was required just to pay interest on the federal debt. The figure would be higher now.
The banksters, as they were often called, then decided that an independent press might catch on to the chicanery. Oscar Callaway is reported in the Congressional Record of February 9, 1917 as follows.
“In March, 1915, the J.P. Morgan interests, the steel, shipbuilding, and powder interests, and their subsidiary organizations, got together 12 men high up in the newspaper world, and employed them to select the most influential newspapers in the United States and sufficient number of them to control generally the policy of the daily press of the United States… They found it was only necessary to purchase the control of 25 of the greatest papers. The 25 papers were agreed upon; emissaries were sent to purchase the policy, national and international, of these papers; … an editor was furnished for each paper to properly supervise and edit information regarding the questions of preparedness, militarism, financial policies, and other things of national and international nature considered vital to the interests of the purchasers [and to suppress] everything in opposition to the wishes of the interests served.”
It has been suggested that the Bilderberger Group may have taken a leaf from the Morgan precedent to protect their interests in the late 20th and early 21st centuries. That is impossible to prove because its members are sworn to secrecy, and the press won’t report on its meetings. Could it be mere coincidence that the monetary system, the downside of globalization and the decades-long cover-up of the extraterrestrial presence and technology (especially the clean energy sources that would impact the value of oil stocks), the three subjects of most direct beneficial interests of the banksters, are the three subjects that are avoided like the plague by the mainline press?
I am not willing to go so far as to say that the men behind the international banking system are evil men because their thoughts are private. But Sir Josiah, later Baron Stamp, a former director of the Bank of England, has given us a rare snapshot of the truth.
“Banking was conceived in iniquity and was born in sin. The Bankers own the earth. Take it away from them, but leave them the power to create money, and with a flick of the pen they will create enough money to buy it back again. However, take that power away from them and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear, and they ought to disappear, for this would be a happier and better world to live in. But if you wish to remain the slaves of Bankers, and pay the cost of your own slavery, let them continue to create money.”
In the latest meltdown of 2007-2008, the Fed acted quickly to prevent the Ponzi pyramid from collapsing completely. It printed trillions of dollars to bail out the banks and a few industries that were highly indebted to banks.
But what did the Fed do for the taxpayers whose money was so wildly diluted to save the banks? Nothing! They were left to fend for themselves. Millions of people lost their jobs, their farms, their houses, their hopes, and their dignity as a result of circumstances beyond their control. The taxpayers bailed out the banks, but got nothing in return.
The same is true of governments who came so quickly to the rescue. As a result of the meltdown their revenues were decreased so they were forced to incur or increase their deficits, as well as to start cutting back on essential services.
The Fed pretended to be helping stimulate the economy by reducing interest rates to near zero. It would be an interesting exercise to find out what happened to all of this low-cost money. It would be a good subject for Congressional attention. How much did the banks use to buy up domestic and foreign assets at fire-sale prices? Was any of it used by financial institutions to try to corner world food markets and raise prices at a time when millions are starving?
No doubt some taxpayers did take advantage of the low interest rates available but were they warned about the old bait and switch game? Anyone who acquires assets with cheap money runs the risk of losing their property when the Fed ultimately raises rates. It’s all part of the boom-bust cycle inherent in our infinitely silly monetary system.
The Economics Profession
What does all this have to say about the economics profession? What it really says isn’t fit to print. Someone once said that if you put 20 economists in a room you will get 21 opinions.
That is not my experience. If you get 20 economists together they are likely to give you one stock answer, or at most two. And if there is one dissenter he or she is likely to be drowned out by the 19, squawking like a flock of parrots the words memorized from what their professors taught them.
I have witnessed this herd-like mentality firsthand. When I was first elected to the House of Commons in 1949 there were only a handful of Keynesians in Ottawa. Twenty years later nearly everyone was a Keynesian including, I am told, Richard Nixon.
At that time there were only a few monetarists around. But they spread like mushrooms and soon dominated the economic landscape. It reached the stage when Keynes was anathema, and it was almost impossible to get a tenured position in a school of economics unless you were part of Milton Friedman’s monetarist revolution.
Apparently little if any thought was given to the possibility that neither Keynes nor Friedman had got it right. The former was a bit closer to reality than the latter, but both theories foundered on the rocks of one inescapable truth. Both assumed that the economic system is self-correcting, yet more than two centuries of experience has demonstrated clearly that it is not! Someone has to be at the tiller charged with steering clear of the shoals and rocks of economic disaster and that person has to be someone who is responsible to the people and not the self-serving boom-busters.
Global Warming
While bank reform is the most urgent problem facing the world today, it is global warming that has equally or even greater long term consequences. It is a total fraud to pretend that we have thirty, forty or fifty years to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. There are reputable scientists who think we may already have crossed the Rubicon. Even if that is true, we can’t roll the clock back; we can only influence the present and the future. Each of the past three decades has been the hottest on record, according to a report released in July 2010 by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. The report pulled together data from ten climate change indicators, measured by 160 research groups in 48 countries.
The data shows sea levels are rising; snow cover in the Arctic melts earlier; the average air temperature is rising; ocean surface temperatures have also been rising; the summer sea ice cover is declining; sea air temperature has been rising; for 19 years glaciers have lost mass; land air temperature has been rising – a global trend.
All of this puts the lie to the propaganda of the oil industry aimed at creating doubt about the reliability of scientific data. Taking a leaf from the tobacco industry, which managed to create doubt about the safety of their products years after they privately knew the facts, the oil industry has been attempting to raise doubt about the urgency of replacing fossil fuels with clean energy, and with considerable success. In their case, however, the stakes are higher. It was a tragedy that so many people lost their lives through lack of sound information about the consequences of smoking. In the case of global warming, however, many times more people will have their lives put at risk.
Still the oil cartel is making plans as if nothing is going to change, and that we are going to be stuck with a fatal oil economy for decades until the damage is irreversible. It is too late to begin more offshore drilling. It is too late for new developments in the Alberta oil sands. It is too late for more noisy windmill farms. The transition must start now, with a 10-year deadline.
Is that possible? Of course it’s possible but only with the kind of mobilization essential to win a war for survival. One excuse for inaction has been the lack of money due to government deficits and debt. But that obstacle can be overcome in less than a year if governments and legislatures change the system and exercise their sovereign right to make what is physically possible financially possible. Heaven knows there are millions of unemployed workers worldwide waiting to rise to the challenge.
The other major obstacle has been a lack of consensus on the form of clean energy to use to replace fossil fuels. And that brings me, finally, to the subject of the day, the extraterrestrial presence and technology.
The Extraterrestrial Presence and Technology
It is a fraud for the U.S. government to pretend that it is not interested in UFOs. In fact, it has been a matter of high and probably pre-eminent interest for decades.
An early Canadian ufologist, Wilbert Smith, who was a senior employee at the Department of Transport, where I became minister not long after his retirement, wrote a top secret memorandum to the Controller of Communications dated November 21, 1950 asking permission to set up a group to study the geomagnetic aspects of UFOs propulsion systems.
As part of his memorandum Smith said that he had made discreet enquiries through the Canadian embassy staff in Washington where he obtained the following information.
(a) The matter is the most highly classified subject in the United States
Government, rating higher even than the H-bomb.
(b) Flying saucers exist.
(c) Their modus operandi is unknown but concentrated effort is being made by a small group, headed by Doctor Vannevar Bush.
(d) The entire matter is considered by the United States authorities to be of tremendous significance.
So, Dr. Vannevar Bush, one of America’s pre-eminent scientists, and a team of experts he had assembled, were already working on back-engineering by 1950. (Back-engineering is the combined art and science of analyzing an object, in this case parts of a crashed vehicle, in order to determine its characteristics for possible replication or adaptation.)
Many people who are interested in the subject of UFOs use one of the Roswell crashes of July 1947 as their starting line. Recent evidence, however, confirms that the U.S. Army Air Corps was in the crash retrieval business before that. Paola Harris, on July 5, 2010 interviewed two men, Jose Padilla and Reme Baca, aged 9 and 7 at the time, who witnessed a saucer crash on Padilla land near San Antonio, New Mexico, in August 1945. In her new book Exopolitics: Stargate to a New Reality, Paola gives the detailed account of what these men saw as children, the actual crash, the creatures’ appearance, the pieces of the craft they took, the military clean up, and an in-depth analysis of the significance of the case.
I had the opportunity to chat with Reme Baca by telephone recently and the thing that stuck in my mind was that when Sgt. Avila came to ask Mr. Padilla’s permission to enter his land to retrieve the “object,” he referred to it as “an experimental weather balloon.” That was exactly the same ruse that Brigadier General Roger Ramey used in reference to the Roswell incident two years later. Apparently there was a considerable lack of imagination on the Army’s part.
In later years the Air Force, that had succeeded the Army Air Corps, became much more sophisticated in its misinformation and disinformation techniques. These include having the Star Visitors portrayed in movies as sinister beings that we should be fearful of – probably without justification.
Another fascinating case that Paola brought to my attention not long ago was that of Charles Hall, the physicist and information technology professional, who worked as an airman meteorologist at the USAF bombing and gunnery range at Indian Springs, Nevada, in the 1960s.
Charles worked in close contact with Tall Whites, a species that I had been previously unfamiliar with. Over a period of months he learned to lose his fear of the aliens who lived, worked and played on Air Force property.
In a two-hour telephone conversation he gave me many of the characteristics of the Whites, described the scout ships in which they travelled and said most of them were assembled in the U.S. Furthermore, he talked about the mother ship arriving on the nights of the full moon and sliding into its hangar cut into the side of a mountain nearby.
It was all fascinating stuff that included the fact that the Tall Whites were working closely with the USAF and exchanging technology in the mid-1960s. So it is very difficult to imagine how much has been achieved in 60 years of back-engineering alien technology that was much more advanced than our own. There is no doubt that myriad scientists, technicians, and many of America’s most advanced aircraft and weapons corporations must have achieved what would have been classified as miracles just a few years ago.
It is alleged that the U.S. engineers working in one of the vast underground facilities have built vehicles that are virtually indistinguishable from those of other planets. If this is true, to what purpose will they be put, and will it be for good purposes or military purposes?
The area of discovery that is most relevant to this presentation, however, is the question of exotic energy sources. Years ago it was reported that both zero point and cold fusion energy had been developed. These are energy sources that could facilitate the 10-year target date and not only revolutionalize the world for the better, but help preserve it as a happy habitat for Earthlings.
In the unlikely event that these sources are not yet commercially viable, all we would have to do is ask one of the friendly species to help us and they would because they are deeply concerned about our stewardship. In the event that we are still treating them as enemy aliens, and doing our best to shoot them down, we would have to curb our lust of conflict and adopt an acceptable level of intergalactic civility.
Better People
The third essential change is for us as individuals. A just and peaceful world is not possible when it is riddled with graft, fraud and corruption of all kinds. Greed is king and mammon rules the world.
Institutions have to change too. For centuries major religions have been selling their alleged superiority or exclusiveness at the point of a sword, leading to the deaths of thousands of innocents. The three Abrahamic religions, for example, all claim the inside route to paradise. Mathematically that is impossible. It is far more probable, mathematically, that they are all wrong and that the truth is larger and more inclusive.
Ancient and modern history both suggest that there is no hope of a just and peaceful world unless all religions, and those with no religion, forget their differences and start working together to build the Kingdom of God on Earth. I define this as a world where every child can expect food to eat, clean water to drink, adequate clothing to wear, a roof overhead, access to medical support and enough education to be able to determine how best he or she can serve humankind positively, with dignity and self-fulfillment.
What a wonderful world that would be! But it would require a 180-degree change in policies and priorities and a serious effort to apply the Golden Rule that all religions claim as a common thread.
The application of the Golden Rule would mean an end to empire building, and the pursuit of military power and advantage. The U.S., for example, would have to stop being its own worst enemy. The declaration of the war on terror was the biggest strategic blunder I have seen.
On the 11th day of September 2001, following the attacks on the World Trade Center, the United States enjoyed the sympathy of the world, including Arab states and populations. The threat from al-Qaeda was limited and quite within the potential of police and intelligence operations to cope with.
The situation changed dramatically with the launch of a war on Iraq. The goodwill began to evaporate overnight. Soon, instead of a few dozens insurgents the numbers of young Muslims willing to die for their cause multiplied to thousands and a great chasm of hate and mistrust enveloped much of the world.
The U.S. has consistently refused to be even-handed in the Israeli-Palestinian dispute, and the Israelis deceive themselves, and the world, when they claim to be the victims. For a long while peace has been within their grasp if they could have agreed to a just settlement, and establishment of a vibrant Palestinian state. But a handful of fundamentalists have always succeeded in disrupting the peace process because they are not willing to accept the great Rabbi Hillel’s admonition. “So always treat others the way you would like them to treat you; that is the message of the Law and the Prophets.” Meanwhile the peace and stability of the world remains in jeopardy.
The world community must adopt principles and practices that override fundamentalists of any stripe whether they be Christian, Muslim, Jewish or Economic. In addition, religious people should pay more attention to their holy books. There is nothing in the Bible that would legitimize a preventive war, with its carpet bombing, or the launch of a drone or missile intended to kill one person when there is risk that innocent bystanders will also die. Similarly, there is nothing in the Qur’an that would justify suicide bombing that results in the random death of innocents.
Global Hope
If you get the impression that the world is going to hell in a hand basket you have heard me correctly. But it doesn’t need to be so. There are remedies but they involve massive change in the areas discussed – none of which are even on the political radar at present. There is light at the end of the tunnel but, as Sir John Quinton, a former chairman of Barclay’s Bank said, “Bankers sometimes look on politicians as people who, when they see light at the end of the tunnel, order more tunnel.”
What we are really talking about is restoring democracy to countries that not only claim they have it, but also take pride in trying to export it, even though they don’t really qualify as democratic as defined in the dictionary. In Webster’s it is: “government in which supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them or their elected representatives.” To begin, Wall Street has been the dominant power in the U.S. for decades, and still is. Add to that the fact that the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the President of the United States, does not have the security clearance for a number of projects controlled by troops under his command, and you have to conclude that the U.S. is not really a democracy.
The same can be said about Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and myriad countries that are really puppets of the International Financial System. In each case the real interests of citizen voters is subjugated to the demands of international finance.
There is a sad irony in reading U.S. history of the pre-revolutionary and revolutionary days. Historians often attribute the revolution to the tax on tea. On the other hand, “[Benjamin] Franklin cited restrictions upon paper money as one of the main reasons for the alienation of the American provinces from the mother country.” The U.S. won the revolutionary war but then lost the next critical one when it adopted the British banking system instead of pursuing the better model their provinces had been experimenting with.
For the U.S. now to inflict the British practice on countries around the world, using the International Monetary Fund and World Bank as enforcers, is comparable to the King’s edict that gave birth to the United States. So the financial chains of oppression have to be broken and freedom restored to citizens everywhere.
It’s time to forget the tea party and address the critically important issues facing the U.S. and the world. All of these issues are non-partisan by definition and deserve the attention and support of all genuine patriots without distinction of race, color, religion or political affiliation – both in the U.S. and worldwide. We must unite to preserve and enhance the beautiful satellite that is our birthright.
An Agenda for Action
The first and most urgent project is to clip the wings of the bankers and democratize the money-creation function. In the U.S. the Federal Reserve System must be abolished and its alleged function of regulating the money supply be assumed by the federal government or an agency under its direct control. The most powerful and valuable tool in the economic arsenal must be available to the representatives of the people who can be held responsible for their success or failure.
Some monetary reformers recommend that governments create 100% of new money in a debt free form, greenbacks or equivalent. In the interests of a fast and smooth transition I am suggesting that a ratio of 34% government-created money to 66% bank-created money would work satisfactorily. Banks would be required to maintain 34% cash reserves against their deposits.
The important thing is that governments must immediately create the large sums necessary to balance their budgets and get their economies running at maximum output again. I am talking about an infusion of perhaps $10 trillion U.S. dollar equivalent to start and more if needed to get economies up to speed and to reduce unemployment worldwide by at least half, with the creation of millions of new jobs.
Is this likely to cause massive inflation, as the financial cartel will immediately allege, because it is one of its longest running and most successful bugbears? The answer to their phony phonetics is a resounding “no.” As any economist should know, it is the amount of money that is created that influences prices, and not who prints it. So as long as governments limit what economists call “the multiplier effect” there will be no problem.
Certainly the present system has been inflationary. A 1950 U.S. dollar is only worth 7.5 cents today. A common sense monetary system should produce better results than that. So there is no reason why the banking system should not be fundamentally reformed – at once!
There are four other actions that I think we, the people of the world should demand of our politicians.
1. A law must be passed at once to prohibit all politicians, candidates for political office and political parties from accepting money from any financial institution as well as make it a criminal offense for any such institution either directly or indirectly to offer it.
2. World leaders must adopt a 10-year time frame to reduce greenhouse emissions by 90 percent.
3. That will only be possible if the U.S. discloses its knowledge of the ET presence and technology, and what has been accomplished in 60 years of back-engineering.
4. The U.N. should declare 2012 the year of forgiveness and reconciliation – a new era of cooperation and (agape) love between races, tribes, religions, nations, and regions both mondial and intergalactic. We have so much to learn from our star visitors in many areas including medicine and food production.
So the U.S. must relinquish its privileged position as the center of “the loop” as part of a new kind of leadership in creating the better world we all dream of.
International Finance vs. The People of the World
None of this vision of a just and peaceful world will be possible unless the all-pervasive power of the international banks has been broken. In 1999 I wrote a book in which I said the next world war would be between the banks and the people of the world. There have been skirmishes for centuries and, so far, the banks have always come out on top. They are now taking advantage of the recent meltdown, and the resulting sovereign debt crisis to line up their heavy artillery including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the Federal Reserve System and the Bank for International Settlements for a final conclusive battle.
As always the aim of the game is to rob the people of the world of their sovereign right to govern their own affairs, and to entrench the power of the international banks, their elite industrial allies and a small cabal of military insiders who run the world as their private fiefdom. The word “unjust” is too small a word by far to describe what they are up to.
If any skeptics think I am overstating the case don’t take my word for it. Go to www.victoryfortheworld.net and read some of the books that can be used as references. A hundred pages of The Web of Debt, for example, setting out the history of money, will probably be enough to make you sick at your stomach. I stopped reading it at night because if often made me so angry I couldn’t sleep.
I entered politics more than 60 years ago because I thought recessions were quite unnecessary. They were monetary phenomena with a relatively easy fix. I have made hundreds of speeches on the subject and convinced a few thousand people. But never the movers and shakers. And the mainline press were less than helpful. They were so jaundiced that they were not interested in a maverick speaking truth to power. So it was always a case of David vs. Goliath, to use a Biblical analogy.
Now, for the first time, the power exists to turn the tables and go for the jugular. The internet is providing power to the people that they have never enjoyed before. The young people of the world, in concert with the thousands of their parents and others who care about the state of the world can use the power of social networking to effect a miracle on their own behalf and that of succeeding generations.
The valiant people of Tunisia and Egypt have shown the way by achieving what was believed to be impossible. We share their euphoria. At the same time they, and we, must acknowledge that it is only the beginning. Real freedom will only be possible when they have escaped from the tyranny of international banks, and Wall Street is no longer able to manipulate the price of their daily bread.
A good start might be to distribute a million copies of this speech and translate it into a number of languages. Then the rising generation can bombard the barricades through their social networks. Regime change is not necessary except for leaders who refuse to see the light. But concerned citizens of the world should band together and rattle the cages of all federal politicians. Tell them bluntly that they must vigorously support the above agenda or face inevitable defeat at the next election. It is a simple message, but the only one they understand.
At a press conference on March 29, 2001 announcing the U.S. was backing out of the Kyoto Protocol, President George W. Bush said, “A friend is someone who tells you the truth.” That is what I have been doing today. It is a message of global hope for every race, color, religion and nationality in the world and of peaceful relations with visitors from other realms.

Our guest, Dr. Bruce Maccabee, is an optical physicist and is uniquely qualified to analyze photos. He has been given the photos below in advance. The photographer plans to call in.
Below is the world famous "baby in the tree" photo taken on Paul Eno's first actual paranormal case in August 1971 at the abandoned "Village of Voices" in Pomfret, Connecticut. Taken with a Kodak 126 Instamatic camera in clear daylight. Photos developed after the expedition. But team members reported seeing this or a similar apparition with the naked eye in the tree that night. Years later, Paul discovered a book of local history that reported the same apparition on numerous occasions in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Below is a digital photo taken of the sky outside the Enos' house in Rhode Island. The subject was supposed to be the Big Dipper. Instead, what appears, seemingly, is a cloaked figure.

"Extreme Paranormal"
Paul and Ben emphasize the extreme unreliability of
alleged paranormal photos taken in woods. The play of light on leaves
that are often moving can suggest all sorts of outlandish images. Even
in woods, however, there are uncommon colors, such as fleshtones that
are not mushrooms, and
some "figures" seem uncomfortably out of place. In this photo,
taken July 30, 2010, in Freetown State Forest in the so-called "Bridgewater
Triangle" in southeastern
Massachusetts, Paul started snapping photos because Ben complained of an
extreme feeling of being watched. Under initial examination, some
interesting, seemingly monk-like miniature figures did seem present.
Paul and Ben emphasize that these photos have not yet been analyzed and
that they themselves make no claim that they are paranormal. The
"figures" are enlarged at right and can been seen at the center of each
photo. The one at the top right looks like a heavily cloaked figure, and
the one at the bottom right seems to be a face with a brown hood,
looking to its own right. Any suggestion as to what these might be are
welcome.

ABOUT GUEST JEREMY ROBINSON:
I WAS BORN in the
sometimes mysterious seacoast town of Beverly, Massachusetts. From a
young age my father, Frank, fostered a love for Science Fiction. I grew
up on thick doses of Superman, Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars,
Star Trek and Godzilla. When I wasn't exploring the islands and coastal
caves of New England, I was creating giant murals on my bedroom walls.
Futuristic cities, dragons, spaceships, aliens; the four walls of my
room were never barren. My imagination was being filled for the future.
I began my career as a writer and illustrator for comic books and comic
strips, most notably my own creation, Ralph. But I felt that
comics limited my ability to tell stories using words, images and the
other element that comics can't supply: sound. I promptly switched to
writing screenplays and
producing short films, two of which have now aired on television.
The Second Trial was the title of my first screenplay. It was a
disaster. I didn't know it at the time, but had I submitted the script
to anyone, I would have been shunned from Hollywood for all eternity.
Lucky for me, I had the sense to write another, and another, and so on
until I had seven finished screenplays and a solid grasp of how they
work, get sold and are produced. It was at this time I decided to move
to Los Angeles.
After developing a slew of screenplays to shop around, I moved to LA
with my wife. Within a week I had a internship at Feigen/Parrent
Literary Management. I soon had a screenplay in development and was
pounding out material - five screenplays, six film treatments, a novel
and two non-fiction books in two years.
I lived in Los Angeles for two and a half years, during which time I
wrote and sold The Screenplay Workbook, which was published in September
of 2003 by Lone Eagle Publishing. After my time in LA, I decided that
fresh air and quiet would be better for writing -- having made several
contacts in LA, living there was no longer a necessity. I'm currently
living in New Hampshire. In the past four years since moving away from
LA I have written two more screenplays, five novels, ten shorts stories
and several articles. I’m writing two new novels as well. In the midst
of all this, I've signed with a fantastic literary agent, Scott Miller
at Trident Media Group.
Thus, I am happy to announce another shift in the focus of my writing.
Being in LA taught me a valuable lesson. I love writing screenplays and
I love making films, but I do not love Hollywood or the film industry. I
am focusing all my effort on novels, having found publishing to be more
up my alley.
In September, 2005, my first novel, The Didymus Contingency was
published. It quickly became a Barnes&Noble.com bestseller and was
picked up by publishers in Spain, Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech
Republic. It was also a Finalist in the IPPY Awards and the Media
Predict Contest (in 2007).
In September of 2006 my second novel, Raising the Past was released by Breakneck Books. It’s been selling even faster than Didymus and has a translation deal in Spain. This book was also an IPPY award finalist and has sold foreign rights in Spain and Thailand.
Finally, in August 2007, my third novel, Antarktos Rising was released. It’s been outselling both previous novels and looks to pass both in sales by the end of its first year. Antarktos was also just picked up in Spain AND is in the funding raising stage with a producer trying to get it made as an animated feature film similar to Appleseed or Final Fantasy. How cool is that?
UPADATE: I have just
landed a three book deal with St. Martin's Press/Thomas Dunne for a
three book series following a team of Delta Force operative called the
Chess Team: King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight and their handler, Deep
Blue. They'll battle modern forces, creations of science and creatures
straight out of mythology. It's the adventure of James Rollins meets the
frantic pacing of Matthew Reilly. A dream come true!

I discovered, between 1951 and 1956, that the New York Times reported 205 American fighter aircraft accidents where at least one aircraft was DESTROYED in each incident.
The chapter (of my book SHOOT THEM DOWN) is called: "The Six Deadly Years."
In 205 accident incidents...231 fighter planes were DESTROYED, 192 over the USA and 39 over foreign countries. Of the 192 fighters destroyed over the USA...only seven were trainers...185 were NON-trainers.
In 205 accident incidents...200 pilots and radar observers were killed (including vanished planes). Of the 205 accident incidents...26 American fighter jets vanished without a trace: 19 vanished over the USA and 7 vanished over foreign countries.

There were 20 American combat VETERAN fighter pilots, (WW II and Korea) who ALL DIED over the United States during those six years...two of those veteran pilots vanished.
In the 205 cases...there were 64 fighter pilots who failed to eject from their disabled fighter aircraft and crashed to their deaths.

On this show, host Paul Eno talks about the startling evidence for the influence of the paranormal in the origins of the human species, its affect on our history and our religions, and its influence in our everyday lives.

THE DARK SIDE REVISITED
"X," a prominent figure in American cultural life who wishes to remain anonymous, makes a return visit to the show. X has been the victim of a paranormal parasite for well over 25 years and is now working with Paul Eno. After X's initial appearance in show #5 (June 29, 2008), many listeners were shaken up over the possibility that everything that comes through mystics, spiritual leaders, psychics and mediums might not always come from where it says it does, and could even be dangerous. X will fill us in on the latest developments in the case, and discuss with Paul and Ben some of the deeper implications.
Here is X's written testimony:
Three decades ago, I visited India with a family friend and heard about a so- called guru named Sathya Sai Baba. Less than a decade later, I returned to India to visit his ashram in Puttaparthi. I was very young and naïve about true evil. I thought that spirituality was about goodness, kindness and helping others. I was very naïve about how much a person would lie to become famous, rich and diabolical, feeding on people’s altruism and the centuries-old myths about religion, God, goodness and the nature of evil. My experience as the result of being in Sai Baba’s presence was so evil that I can barely comprehend how I have survived all of these years. I touched his feet, as was the practice of his devotees, and an evil that is beyond evil descended on me. I have been fighting it for over two decades. It was more evil than my naive concept of Satan or the Devil. During my time on the ashram, a local woman, at 3 a.m. one morning, walked across the ashram yelling loudly that Sai Baba was the devil.
I was just learning how true her words were and will always wonder what happened to her. I have been told by both priests, psychologists and psychiatrists that I have a case of demonic possession or oppression. I have worked with over 10 healers and none of them has been able to rid me of it. (I have heard of one person who went to healer who was able to minimize it.)
One recently was able to lift it enough that I have started to feel some of my original energy. It has been so bad that I have been barely able to walk. I have been sexually assaulted and sodomized by something unseen. I have been stung, burned and been given excruciating pain throughout my body. I have been tortured. I have been beaten, burned, bitten, punched and kicked by something unseen. All of a sudden after I touched Sai Baba’s feet, I was constantly, most of the time, hearing a male voice calling me filthy names, and demanding that I obey it or it would hurt me. It would do so if I did not do what it said.
It attacks me when I have any professional success in my field. It tells me I should not read, think or live anywhere but on the streets, homeless and in rags. It somehow is able to injure me physically. It constantly hits me and berates me if I drop something, cannot find something quickly enough, cannot remember something fast enough, or look for something fast enough. It is constantly mocking me and making fun of me. It fills me with a strong, overwhelming sense of its insane rage and contempt if I feel a sense of affection for anyone, pet or friend. In fact, I was wide awake when I felt a burning sensation on my arm and scratches appeared on both arms.
It even attacked a friend who was not aware of my whole story. She called me to say that she woke up with long scratches on her arms and legs that appeared from nowhere at night.
I have had the following injuries:
A rotation-cuff injury of the shoulder from being forced to fall as I was rushing so quickly to get away from its torment that I fell and injured my shoulder. I have fallen more times than I can count. So far I have not broken anything. I have had a heart murmur develop as a result of the stress, and went into heart failure a number of years ago from the stress and was hospitalized for it. The doctors could not figure out why I had heart failure as I was too young for the problem. Recently, I heard it threatening me with hurting my hands, and as I was pouring a cup of hot water, the boiling water went the wrong way and burned by thumb. The skin is now in the process of falling off.
I have also experienced being threatened with falling down the stairs if I did not wear the clothes it told me to wear. I refused, and I was thrown down two flights of steep stairs by an unseen force. There is an injury to my leg that is still clearly visible after over three years. I am now classified as disabled. It attacks me if I have friends, when I eat a meal, and it attacks at night when I try to sleep. It always attacks before I have guests in my home.
It is constantly trying to merge with my mind, my thoughts, and it feels as if it is lodged in my physical brain as there is a strong sensation of pressure inside my head or a strong sense of a vise-like grip around my head, painfully squeezing it. (Sai Baba was always saying and wrote that the ideal was to merge with him.)
It tries to stop me from thinking critically. There is often a horrible sensation of stinging and slight burning on the surface of my scalp, and sometimes a feeling of electrical energy like static on my scalp and in my hair. It tries to make my body and voice some kind of puppet, trying to force me to do actions against my will, including hurting myself (or trying to make me hurt others) and saying foul things.
It also tries to channel through other people. Many years ago, when this first started, I went to a chiropractor. While he was working on me, he went into a trance and started to hurt me, resulting in dark bruises on my arm. I never went back to him. Once, when I was returning from overseas, a U.S. Customs officer started yelling at me and had to shake his head to snap out of it, after which he was helpful.
I have found some relief recently because Paul Eno suggested that I put holy water on my body (all the chakras). I also sprinkle my bed with holy water (as well as my office) and have finally been able to get a good night’s sleep. I also find that making loud noises, like clapping hands loudly and popping balloons or paper bags, or any unexpected sound, temporarily scares it off.
In my imagination, I am not polite to it, based on the advice of a psychologist who treated people like myself and who had the same or similar condition as the result of meditating and being in Eastern religious groups and going to so-called gurus in India. (I have heard that some Catholics have this problem also.) I imagine punching it back and fighting back with all of my strength. It seems to help me fight it off, although temporarily… but too many times it seems to overwhelm me with sheer malice. It is evil beyond my wildest imagination and the worst horror the movie industry could dream up. It is a criminally insane fiend.
It tries to block and stop anything and everything in my life. It is best that I do not isolate myself from people or do anything that it tells me to do. (It is constantly telling me to commit suicide). I used to have terrible dreams, and when I was on the ashram I had horrible dreams about women being burned to death and had a sense of a horrendously malevolent presence in my room.
Its violence seems to be against creative human thought or existence. It will say to me that I should not help others or, for that matter, use any form of critical thought and make decisions that would allow me to think or vote intelligently. I guess the key term would be “abject, violently focused hate.” It is constantly obsessed with sexual sadism and violence.
After what I have been through, I no longer can hear the word “God” without actually gagging. It is amazing that I am still alive. I know others who have died and know that others have similar torment as a result of being in Sai Baba’s presence. It also affects my memory in terms of it wanting to block me from remembering and telling what it has done to me.
I have had things appear and disappear, like checks, work-related documents and a list of possible recipients of this testimony. It also has caused to disappear essential heart medicine, that could lead to serious consequences if I did not take it. I have had odd noises in my home, such as a rumbling wall, and have recorded unearthly guttural sounds on a tape recorder in my bedroom.
I know of one person who was institutionalized after going to Sai Baba meetings for just two weeks. The individual did not even need to be in his presence to have this horrendous torment descend on him. In order to stay alive and sane, I have had to learn as much as I could about human behavior especially criminal psychopaths and what they demand of their victims. I have read as much as I have been able to find about the true origins of religion. I have also read a great deal about how the human brain functions and how it copes with stress.
I feel there is a strong possibility that there is no God and that when we open ourselves in mediation or prayer, malevolent forces step in to fill the vacuum. They can mimic goodness and fool you. There seems to be no spiritual law as there are various human laws on Earth that restrict and condemn criminal behavior. The spiritual realm seems to be the realm for committing the perfect crime without consequence to the criminal and severe consequences to the victim.
It often will say to me that it has no karma… that only good people have negative karma for all and any imperfections. Perhaps if there is a God, it is malevolent and all suffering is for its amusement. When Sai Baba says he is love and wants people to be good, loving, kind and non-violent, he is setting them up so they cannot fight back. He is, it appears, actually setting a trap to single out the people to mark for demolition. He does ask you to bring to him your worst fears, and the biggest joke is that he says he will protect you. What a laugh. It would be enlightening to see who else has this horrible torment on them. Are they exceptionally good and giving people, or is this a random occurrence that has nothing to do with anything other then one being there?
I understand that being religious often holds the key to the possibility of having this torment and that people who have this are ones who believe strongly in God, expecting it or him/her to be good when the opposite may be the case or there is nothing there and evil fills the void. One may pray constantly or meditate often… and may as a result get this torment, however some children, even infants can be plagued by this, even if temporarily. I know of three such cases.
Sadly, this has been my experience… however I did not encounter this horrific malevolence until I was in the presence of Sathya Sai Baba and read something about him. I read about him in a book by an American psychiatrist who praised him, and later in a book by another American psychiatrist who also praised him. I felt very set up because I trusted their professional judgment. A belief in God or praying to Saint Michael has not helped me or spared me this suffering. It has actually made it worse.
It has been recommended to me to bathe in Epson salts, sea salt or baking soda. I also have been told to put a sea-salt cross under my mattress. One could put it in envelopes to prevent children or pets from being harmed. It was also recommended that I put sea salt in all corners of the rooms in my home and to put blessed wooden crosses over all of my entrances and blessed religious medals on or over all windows and mirrors. In spite of all of this, it is still around… although somewhat less. I now, however, have malevolent manifestations in my home, such as the unexplained appearance of rat poison in a block (see photograph) and in a granulated form on the floor, which could hurt or kill children or pets. I have had these objects photographed and have collected the physical evidence. It has threatened to manifest even worse things in my home if I tell the truth about what has happened to me. It has also severed the wires of my modem to prevent me from using my computer and sending out e-mail.
I know this sounds outrageous, but this is what has happened. I am constantly having computer problems and computer problems mysteriously happen in business matters relating to professional activities. (I have noticed that if I place Bibles on the computer and printer, the interference stops temporarily.)
This thing has actually told me that it would hurt me badly if I told the truth, including attacking me with burning, disfigurement and death. I have had burn holes appear in my cloths, and no one smoked near me. It has recently threatened that if I cook a meal, it would blow up my gas stove and burn me to death.
This is my true experience for the past two-plus decades as a result of going to see Sathya Sai Baba of Puttaparthi, India and attending meetings of his organization.
As mentioned earlier, it often tells me that the only way I can stop the pain is to commit suicide. I, of course, know that that is an absurd lie and have no intention of taking my life. I wonder when I hear that there are suicides associated with him… how many had the situation that I have been faced with for so many years and felt such deep guilt and shame that they could not tell anyone what they were suffering?
I have often noticed that truly evil people do not have this kind of interference, in fact it seems as if they are actually given free rein.
X's last appearance attracted the ire of Sai Baba supporters. X directs all who "want to know the truth about Sai Baba" to www.exbaba.com.
Here is a letter from one Sai Baba devotee, who identifies herself only as "Lisa." We suspect that she is the well known (infamous to ex-devotees) Sai Baba defender Lisa de Witt of Arizona USA (in spite of her British spellings). Paul Eno's responses are included:
Dear Mr. Eno,
I find it highly disturbing that you are trying to pass off a person who appears in all probability to be a schizophrenic making a public "testimonial" against Sai Baba in order to garner ratings for your show.
(Paul responds: With all due respect to your opinion and beliefs, Lisa, I and several other people, including doctors, have been working with X for a year and a half and more, and you have not. She is not schizophrenic.)
If this anonymous person is so very "prominent" and therefore credible, why are you hiding his name?
(Paul responds: I’m not hiding anything, Lisa. X wishes to remain anonymous, and as far as Ben and I are concerned, that’s that. We’d do the same for you. And what makes you think that public prominence equals credibility? I guess you don’t watch television.)
I also find it highly suspicious that so many Baba-bashers just happen to have backgrounds as Catholics and obviously understand very little about Hinduism. Perhaps you should do better research and learn some facts about Hinduism before you ignorantly fan the flames of religious bigotry and fear.
(Paul responds: Whoa! X was never a Catholic, so I suppose you are referring to me, who spent many years studying for the priesthood. How is it “obvious” that anybody with a Catholic background wouldn’t understand Hindusim? A little “bashing” on your part, maybe? In fact, I studied Hinduism and other religions on the graduate level, AND made it a point to get to know a number of Hindus and their many forms of worship. Had you done the same, Lisa, you might realize that Hinduism is NOT one religion, but many different sects with many different beliefs. The very term Hindu is actually a European invention because Westerners couldn’t deal with its diversity.
As for religion in general, I’ve dealt with hundreds of cases in which Hindus, Buddhists, Christians, Jews, Muslims, neo-pagans and whatever else you can think of, have picked up PARANORMAL PARASITES, just like X has, either because of or in spite of their religions, and NEEDED HELP because of it. Parasites are a universally human problem.
That’s why I’m far more interested in God than I am in religion.
The fact is, AT THE MOMENT, I DON’T CARE ABOUT SAI BABA OR ANY OTHER SELF APPOINTED MESSIAH. I’m interested in X, a good, honest person who is the victim of a PARANORMAL PARASITE and doesn’t deserve it. X believes that it was picked up because of involvement with Sai Baba. That may or may not be so. But I’ll tell you this, Lisa, sooner or later I’m going to find out where this parasite came from. And if it came from Sai Baba, I’m going to tell the world about it, and I don't care who's listening.
And as far as fear is concerned – I assure you that THERE IS PLENTY OUT THERE TO BE AFRAID OF – EXCEPT FOR THE TRUTH).
I have to question your claim of being psychic when there are so many famous psychics who are on record as saying Sai Baba is a Divine Being. This includes Armande Marcotte who was John Wayne's personal psychic whom I talked to in the early nineties. At that time Mr. Marcotte gave a public speech in which he talked about Sai Baba.
(Paul responds: Well, I’ve got news for you, Lisa, EVERY ONE OF US IS A DIVINE BEING!
As far as psychics go: You seem anxious to trash our show, but if you actually listened to us regularly you’d find a recurring theme: THINGS IN THE PARANORMAL ARE ALMOST NEVER WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE. Are you naive enough to think that just because someone was John Wayne’s personal psychic or is some kind of darling of the laughable media, that their SOURCES OF INFORMATION can necessarily be trusted, even if they themselves are sincere and honest?
Sure, I practice as a psychic on a limited basis with a very different theory of how it works and a very different method. But I struggle with that question of legitimacy every time I prepare to do a reading. And so should every psychic.)
Craig Hamilton-Parker of the UK is also on record as stating such. A clairvoyant whose abilities were tested in the university laboratory, Dr Frank Baranowski also made astounding comments regarding Sai Baba.
(Paul responds: SO WHAT?)
According to a January 24, 2002 obituary in the Arizona Republic, Dr. Baranowski Ph.D.:
"appeared on the Larry King Show and was tested at four colleges and six clinics, including the famous Schmertz in Basel, Switzerland, for his amazing ability to see the human aura. He was featured in the motion pictures 'Mind, Body & Spirit,'' ''The Psychic Connection'' and has appeared on ''Sightings' ' and ''Unsolved Mysteries.'' Dr. Baranowski was covered by all major networks, the BBC and Canadian television. The consummate radio professional, Baranowski had a faithful and enormous audience on his ''Mysteries Around Us'' program."
(Paul responds: My opinion of Larry King isn't much better than my opinion of Baranowski.)
Dr. Baranowski made the following statement about Sathya Sai Baba:
"Now, I have always been able to see the human aura. The auras around average people extend as much as three to five feet. Auras are composed of every imaginable colour and these colours change as a person's emotional, physical and mental states change. In general, whenever the colour blue is evident in a person's aura, it is an indication of deep spirituality; green is a healing color; yellow indicates high intelligence; and red means anger or frustration.
The colour pink, which is rarely seen, typifies a person capable of selfless love, and this was the colour that Sathya Sai Baba had around Him. The aura around Sathya Sai Baba went beyond the building reaching thirty or forty feet in all directions. Never having seen any aura like this before, my first reaction was to look for fluorescent lights, which may have been shining on Him. But as I watched, the beautiful pink energy pattern moved as He moved; there was no doubt that this was His aura.
Entranced by this remarkable sight, I barely heard the devotional songs that were being sung, and before I knew it, Sathya Sai Baba had gone. The crowd settled in the now-familiar cross-legged positions and prepared themselves to wait until Sathya Sai Baba's next appearance, four hours later.
I have had the pleasure of meeting such personalities as ex-president Gerald Ford, Queen Juliana of the Netherlands, and Pope John Paul II, and I have studied their auras as well as tens of thousands of others, I say this not as a testimonial but as a fact; not one person I have ever seen has an aura to compare to the size and colour of Sathya Sai Baba's aura."
(Paul responds: The whole business of auras is up for debate. So again, so what? EVEN INTELLIGENT PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE ANYTHING. And my standard question to cultists: The world is always full of messiahs who say and do seemingly great things and make grandiose claims. What makes yours better than any other?
In my opinion, your messiahs are nothing but bait dangled by parasites.)

Co-host Paul Eno will review some of his most exciting early cases. From 1971, there's the classic "Village of Voices" case.
This is the famous "baby in the tree" photo. Some members of the expedition reported seeing this baby-like figure with the naked eye that night. the picture had not yet been developed. Paul later uncovered a book of local history in which people around the time of the American Revolution reported the same apparition.
This bizarre photo, taken by Paul at the "Village of Voices" in 1971, is mechanically impossible: It was taken with an old Kodak 126 Instamatic camera, which was not capable of double-exposing photographs. Controversial early paranormal investigator Ed Warren once pronounced this "one of the most remarkable psychic photographs of the 20th century."
Hundreds of curious onlookers gather outside "the House on Lindley Street" in November 1974 after news leaked to the press of the dramatic poltergeist phenomena going on inside. Paul, at the time a 21 year-old student for the priesthood, worked on the case with Ed & Lorraine Warren and Fr. William Charbonneau.
Also on the show, Paul will mention this picture of a patch of ice on the sidewalk
as an example of how the mind will assemble apparently coincidental features into
something it can understand. In this case, look at the picture long enough
and you'll see Santa Claus!

An unmistakable, white-clad figure appears in the right sunglass lens. In the left lens, what could be other white-clad figures seem to be near the water's edge in the distance. The photo was taken in April 2008 on the banks of the Potomac River in the western part of the State of Maryland, USA, by someone Paul Eno knows and trusts. The two fishermen at the scene (the reflection of the blue-shirted photographer can been at the center of the sunglasses) testify that there was no-one else present. The photo was taken by Paul Smith with a cell-phone camera.
Both men state that they fish in the area frequently, but that it has a "weird feel." The entire area was one of frequent conflict during the American Civil War (1861-1865). One man present speculated to Paul that the figure might be the ghost of a man who drowned during a baptism at the river, something Paul considers unlikely.
Paul Eno's opinion: "The 'weird feel' of this site could indicate that it's what Native Americans call a 'thin place': a place where the boundaries between two or more of the worlds that always surround us in the multiverse intersect or are 'thin.' In such places, the camera -- which can 'see' more light spectra than the human eye -- sometimes picks up the inhabitants (human or otherwise) of intersecting worlds. What's more, I have encountered these white-clad people on a number of occasions. Without fail, I have found them to be kin to us, full of kindness and willing to help. I believe that theirs may be the world or worlds -- just as physical as ours -- from which ancestors, other loved ones, and even other ('higher') facets of ourselves can help us. They may very well be responsible for many of our ideas about angels. This man may well have a photograph of his own 'guardian angel.'"

ROBINSON:
I WAS BORN in the
sometimes mysterious seacoast town of Beverly, Massachusetts. From a
young age my father, Frank, fostered a love for Science Fiction. I grew
up on thick doses of Superman, Dr. Who, Battlestar Galactica, Star Wars,
Star Trek and Godzilla. When I wasn't exploring the islands and coastal
caves of New England, I was creating giant murals on my bedroom walls.
Futuristic cities, dragons, spaceships, aliens; the four walls of my
room were never barren. My imagination was being filled for the future.
I began my career as a writer and illustrator for comic books and comic
strips, most notably my own creation, Ralph. But I felt that
comics limited my ability to tell stories using words, images and the
other element that comics can't supply: sound. I promptly switched to
writing screenplays and
producing short films, two of which have now aired on television.
The Second Trial was the title of my first screenplay. It was a
disaster. I didn't know it at the time, but had I submitted the script
to anyone, I would have been shunned from Hollywood for all eternity.
Lucky for me, I had the sense to write another, and another, and so on
until I had seven finished screenplays and a solid grasp of how they
work, get sold and are produced. It was at this time I decided to move
to Los Angeles.
After developing a slew of screenplays to shop around, I moved to LA
with my wife. Within a week I had a internship at Feigen/Parrent
Literary Management. I soon had a screenplay in development and was
pounding out material - five screenplays, six film treatments, a novel
and two non-fiction books in two years.
I lived in Los Angeles for two and a half years, during which time I
wrote and sold The Screenplay Workbook, which was published in September
of 2003 by Lone Eagle Publishing. After my time in LA, I decided that
fresh air and quiet would be better for writing -- having made several
contacts in LA, living there was no longer a necessity. I'm currently
living in New Hampshire. In the past four years since moving away from
LA I have written two more screenplays, five novels, ten shorts stories
and several articles. I’m writing two new novels as well. In the midst
of all this, I've signed with a fantastic literary agent, Scott Miller
at Trident Media Group.
Thus, I am happy to announce another shift in the focus of my writing.
Being in LA taught me a valuable lesson. I love writing screenplays and
I love making films, but I do not love Hollywood or the film industry. I
am focusing all my effort on novels, having found publishing to be more
up my alley.
In September, 2005, my first novel, The Didymus Contingency was
published. It quickly became a Barnes&Noble.com bestseller and was
picked up by publishers in Spain, Romania, Bulgaria and the Czech
Republic. It was also a Finalist in the IPPY Awards and the Media
Predict Contest (in 2007).
In September of 2006 my second novel, Raising the Past was released by Breakneck Books. It’s been selling even faster than Didymus and has a translation deal in Spain. This book was also an IPPY award finalist and has sold foreign rights in Spain and Thailand.
Finally, in August 2007, my third novel, Antarktos Rising was released. It’s been outselling both previous novels and looks to pass both in sales by the end of its first year. Antarktos was also just picked up in Spain AND is in the funding raising stage with a producer trying to get it made as an animated feature film similar to Appleseed or Final Fantasy. How cool is that?
UPADATE: I have just
landed a three book deal with St. Martin's Press/Thomas Dunne for a
three book series following a team of Delta Force operative called the
Chess Team: King, Queen, Rook, Bishop, Knight and their handler, Deep
Blue. They'll battle modern forces, creations of science and creatures
straight out of mythology. It's the adventure of James Rollins meets the
frantic pacing of Matthew Reilly. A dream come true!

When it comes to UFOs, Stanton T. Friedman has a decades-long history of debunking the debunkers. Here is only one example: His 1997 challenge to the U.S. Air Force to debate him and simply to come clean on flying saucers.
"Frankly I am sick and tired of the US Air Force lying to the public,
the pres
s, and members
of Congress about UFOs," said nuclear physicist Stanton T. Friedman at a
public lecture "Flying Saucers ARE Real" in Albuquerque. "I have had a
serious interest in UFOs for 39 years, lectured in a dozen countries,
and visited seventeen document archives," he continued. "For 50 years
there has been massive misrepresentation about UFOs in general, and in
recent years the Roswell Incident in particular. The Air Force has come
up with four different answers for Roswell:
A flying saucer
A radar reflector and weather balloon
A Mogul balloon train over 500 feet long with 23 balloons, sonobuoys, etc.
And most recently, a Mogul balloon train plus crash test dummies dropped at least six years AFTER the 1947 crashes Southeast of Corona and West of Magdalena."
Friedman, who spent fourteen years
as an industrial nuclear physicist working on a wide variety of
classified, highly advanced nuclear systems for major corporations, was
the first civilian investigator of the Roswell Incident.
"I hereby challenge Colonel Richard Weaver, author of the outrageously
misleading huge volume 'The Roswell Report: Fact Vs Fiction in the New
Mexico Desert', and USAF Captain James McAndrew, author of the 1997 'The
Roswell Report: Case Closed', toa formal debate.
"These two officers have made a mockery out of serious investigation.
They have used all the tools of the propagandist with selective choice
of data, false reasoning, false claims, positive and negative name
calling. These reports should be listed under fiction in the library.
"The Mogul explanation doesn't fit. There are gross differences among
the testimony of their witnesses, and they ignore the testimony they
don't want to consider while claiming falsely that they have talked to
all the original witnesses still alive who handled material totally
different from the Mogul explanation.
"They left out vital aspects of quotes from the FBI. They falsely tried
to claim the Roswell story came to light because of a story in a tabloid
in 1978. That story didn't appear until 1980 after a colleague and I had
talked to 60 people connected with the case. I was falsely portrayed as
somebody who gets his UFO stories from tabloids.
"The fact is in 1978 I was the first to talk to a key witness, Major
Jesse Marcel the intelligence officer for the only atomic bombing group
in the world in 1947. I was referred to him by an old ham radio buddy of
his who had seen the press stories in 1947. Jesse never sought
publicity. I discussed many of these false charges in my book TOP SECRET
MAJIC.
"One of the silliest official USAF stories is the crash test dummy
nonsense. I spoke in person with Colonel Madson, whose picture is in the
Case Closed volume and was heavily involved in the research program. He
is adamant that the explanation doesn't fit. Remember that the dummies
had to be the same height and weight as air force pilots. None were
dropped anywhere near the two crash sites and none were dropped earlier
than 6 years AFTER the 1947 events.
"They used a crazy explanation for the red-headed officer observed
independently at the Roswell Base Hospital, and in the Plains of San
Augustin. World class pilot, Joseph Kittinger, was a redhead and was at
the Roswell base hospital after a ballooning accident. But it was twelve
years later! If the explanation doesn't fit, one must acquit. As it
happens, I was the first to hear the two independent stories about the
nasty red haired officer and the black sergeant, an unusual combination
for 1947. The Air Force says nothing about the black sergeant, or the
two independent stories.
"There are many other examples of massive misrepresentation by the Air
Force about UFOs. The USAF Office of Special Investigations even told
its own units to ignore their own regulations if they received an FOIA
request from me about UFOs. The USAF apparently even lied to the CIA
recently, falsely claiming that half the UFO sightings after 1955 were
the results of observations of super secret reconnaissance aircraft, the
U-2 and later the SR-71. But there was no increase in the number of
sightings after 1955. Why would anybody report a very high flying
aircraft moving in a straight line and never making right angle turns,
as stopping on a dime, instantly reversing direction, or silently
landing and taking off in the middle of nowhere, like UFOs so often are
observed to do???
"The Pentagon based Air Force Liaison officer has written numerous one
page letters in response to constituent requests for information about
Roswell to congressman. It took me five pages to correct all the false
claims he made.
"Colonel Weaver wrote a researcher that the Operation Majestic 12
Documents, which are the subject of TOP SECRET/MAJIC are known by
everybody to be BOGUS. In response to my Freedom of Information Act
request for any memos, letters, documents, etc. supporting this
ridiculous and baseless claim, I was told, "There are no records
available." This is a clear case of research by proclamation.
"Doesn't the Air Force have a responsibility to those who pay the bills
to be honest? Or are they above the law? I repeat my challenge:
"USAF officers McAndrew and Weaver, do you have the courage of your
convictions? Name the date and place. Perhaps Larry King or Walter
Cronkite or Ted Koppel would be willing to act as moderator."

SPIRIT GUIDES ON THE HOTSEAT
Time spent with our guest allowing, Paul and Ben plan to discuss these fascinating, probably paranormal, photos.
Immediately below is an infrared photo (scan of a print) submitted by a listener from New York State, whom Paul knows and trusts, and that has been examined by photo experts. One usually super-skeptical expert described the photo as "full of people" whom the photographer vows were not there.
Taken in the photographer's storage room, the actual scene contained very little of what turns up in the photo. Even the apparent wooden doorway and fixtures at left are not in the actual room, the photographer attests. Every other frame on the film roll was blank, according to the photographer.

What seems to be a "cowled figure" appears at right in the above photo, taken on Fairmount Hill in Woonsocket, Rhode Island. The camera was pointed at the sky, and the photographer was trying to get a shot of the constellation of Orion.

This area of Woonsocket is mentioned in the works of Charles Fort, and Fairmount Hill itself is believed to be the scene of the old New England story of the "Devil's Hole," where a clergyman is said to have done battle with the Devil in a story involving small, dark, hooded, human-like figures and even werewolves! Guess who lives on the side of the hill, only a few hundred yards from the "Devil's Hole" cave? Paul Eno and his family!
Paul says: "While our house and land have always been peaceful havens, with a great deal of 'protection,' the rest of the hill has always been pretty odd. Ben has lived here most of his life, and he and his friends have seen some pretty strange things in the woods here. Our house is one of the last before the town ends and the woods begin, reaching up to the hilltop. But the area isn't rural."
Paul says the "cowled figure's" presence is interesting, given his recent cases involving parasites harassing people who have left cults.
"Cowled figures feature prominently in several of these cases, two involving famous people. I've had the strong impression over the past few months that I'm not the most popular human when it comes to the 'parasite community!'"

In a remarkable shot caught at the home of a resort manager and his family in York County, Paul believes there is a "world boundary" (the light-like plasma) with the face of a person "from elsewhere or elsewhen" behind it and to the left.
The drama comes from Paul's belief that the family in the house is the victim of a very clever parasite of a high order. At the same time, Paul felt the strong, positive presence of children in a parallel world at the spot where the photo was taken. He has set out not only to help the family learn to defeat the parasite, but to help protect the children as well.
Paul says, "I've had many cases in which parasites seems to be able to reach into several parallel worlds at a time to feed, almost like octopi."
In the same case, this doll has been caught on video moving, at the apparent behest of the parasite, a number of times.

Jeff Wamsley, West Virginia author and expert on the "Mothman" terror of the 1960s, joins Paul and Ben as "Behind the Paranormal" takes another foray into cryptozoology, "men in black" and related areas of the unexplained.

The History of the Mothman
For thirteen months the entire town of Point Pleasant, West Virginia was gripped by a dark terror that culminated in a tragedy that made headlines all over the world. This is a story that contains all the elements of a modern science fiction movie but every single word is true and fully documented by famed journalist John A. Keel. Homes throughout the little towns were plagued with unearthly noises and ghostly manifestations while mysterious aerial lights traveled silently overhead seemingly on a regular schedule. Winged monsters and frightening apparitions terrified the population as automobiles stalled and telephones and TV sets ran amok. A Red Cross Bloodmobile filled with fresh blood was pursued along a darkened highway by a weird flying machine. Domestic animals were found slaughtered and mutilated in pastoral farm fields. Innocent people lived in surrealistic horror, haunted by the fearsome demonic "Bird" and besieged by legions of strange beings (some of which arrived in ordinary-looking automobiles)."

On the October 5 show, after the Mothman discussion, Paul updated listeners
on a new case in Maine. On his first visit to the site the previous day, Paul got this picture (no flash used) in the house, where he sensed the presence
of children in a close parallel reality. The picture is now being analyzed.

COMMUNICATING WITH OTHER WORLDS
Among the many topics we will discuss with our guests, REVS. DONNA AND DUDLEY VOLL, will be angels and this photo:
An unmistakable, white-clad figure appears in the right sunglass lens. In the left lens, what could be other white-clad figures seem to be near the water's edge in the distance. The photo was taken in April 2008 on the banks of the Potomac River in the western part of the State of Maryland, USA, by someone Paul Eno knows and trusts. The two fishermen at the scene (the reflection of the blue-shirted photographer can been at the center of the sunglasses) testify that there was no-one else present. The photo was taken by Paul Smith with a cell-phone camera.
Both men state that they fish in the area frequently, but that it has a "weird feel." The entire area was one of frequent conflict during the American Civil War (1861-1865). One man present speculated to Paul that the figure might be the ghost of a man who drowned during a baptism at the river, something Paul considers unlikely.
Paul Eno's opinion: "The 'weird feel' of this site could indicate that it's what Native Americans call a 'thin place': a place where the boundaries between two or more of the worlds that always surround us in the multiverse intersect or are 'thin.' In such places, the camera -- which can 'see' more light spectra than the human eye -- sometimes picks up the inhabitants (human or otherwise) of intersecting worlds. What's more, I have encountered these white-clad people on a number of occasions. Without fail, I have found them to be kin to us, full of kindness and willing to help. I believe that theirs may be the world or worlds -- just as physical as ours -- from which ancestors, other loved ones, and even other ('higher') facets of ourselves can help us. They may very well be responsible for many of our ideas about angels. This man may well have a photograph of his own 'guardian angel.'"

PSYCHIC NIGHT
Listeners were shaken up by the warnings of both Paul Eno and the mystery guest on Show #5 that bad or incompetent psychics and mediums, paranormal parasites and other dead ends can lead to big spiritual trouble. Among other things, Paul on this show suggested some general guidelines about choosing a good psychic. Per listeners' request, we reprint them here:
1) We live in a time when any crook or fool can get a fake academic degree or ordination certificate online for a few bucks...or take a course offered by such a person. If you feel you need to consult a psychic, medium, counselor, guru or anyone else who claims to be a spiritual leader, find out all you can about his or her background and training first. Who did they study under? Was that person or institution legitimate in your estimation? What experience do they have? How long have they been "in practice"? Do your homework -- don't just believe their bios, books or websites. Ideally, ask for references, but that can be very difficult because of confidentiality. Do what you can to find out the person's reputation and history. And don't necessarily trust someone who wears a clerical collar.
2) The number one ingredient for a good psychic, medium, counselor, etc., is COMPASSION. If you don’t sense this right off the bat, or do not feel comfortable with the person, look elsewhere.
3) A willingness to listen is crucial. If the person yaks all through your session, is bossy and “I’m right,” they have the wrong perspective. Move on.
4) One thing that can throw you in a psychic situation: If you don’t recognize information the person is giving you, that doesn’t necessarily mean the person is wrong. You could meet the people or situations the person describes tomorrow or next week. But beware MAKING YOURSELF BELIEVE IT HAPPENED through suggestibility or wishful thinking. Keep your mind open but your feet on the ground. Does the psychic or medium explain this to you -- and his or her own limitations? That's an important clue to credibility!
